The new channel is added to the Craig cable TV, Inc. channel line up on channel 8.
The POWTV is a local community accessed television broadcast station in Craig, Alaska designed to provide local television feed for local entertainment, education & informative messages that concerns the community.
We are capable of producing our own television shows and playback video recordings for our tv viewing audiences to learn, be informed & entertained.
This year in 2006 we are going to be dedicating our work on video taping local school sporting and school activity events that will entertained the TV viewers.
We have over 17 years of experience videotaping school sporting events especially the JR. High & High school basketball games.
We also have collected many years of taped basketball games dating back to 1988 between Hydaburg, Klawock, Thorne Bay & Craig.
We will be premiering the classic school basketball games on the POWTV starting February 26, 2006 Sundays at 6:00PM.
Our plans is to include Craig School students (All grades) to participate in the POWTV broadcast to Create their own TV shows.
We will assist the school in obtaining grant fundings to purchase the studio recording equipment and we will also provide financial & technical assistance to get their own shows up and running.
The POWTV will be "On the Air" every Sundays at 6:00 PM till 10:00 PM on channel 8.
